Information

At the room temperature the solid sulfur, a yellow solid. It has a very faint odor. Burns with a blue flame to produce carbon dioxide. The sulfur is insoluble in water, slightly soluble in the non-polar solvents (benzene, toluene) but soluble in carbon disulfide. Sulfur is widely used in modern industry.
