Aerosil is a white crystalline powder based on silicon dioxide. It is a hydrophilic compound with a specific particle surface area of ??200 m2/g. It is produced by burning quartz, it combines very easily with water and absorbs moisture well.
Usage
It is used as a thickener and binder in the pharmaceutical industry. Suitable for thickening all resins even where it is necessary to keep the resin in a vertical position so that it does not flow. Attention, in larger volumes, overheating of the resin and subsequent defects may occur. To improve mechanical properties, we recommend combining with ground cotton, microcellulose, microballoons or chopped fibers.
