2-hydroxypropanoic acid or lactic acid is readily soluble, colorless crystals forming acid to rational chemical formula CH3-CHOH-COOH.
Usage
Used for dyeing and finishing textiles (palpation, gloss). It is also used for its antiseptic properties in ointments, oral water and as a means for the treatment of hair.
