Cinnamon oil is prepared from the bark of different sorts of cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.) by steam distillation. The oil has yellow to dark yellow colour and typical scent of cinnamon. It is a clear liquid without precipitates. It does not contain added solvents, preservatives, dyes or antioxidants.
The main ingredients of the cinnamon oil are: cinnamaldehyde, ethyl cinnamate and eugenol.
Usage
The suitability of usage should be tested by the producer of the final product.
