Information
Hemp oil is obtained by pressing cannabis seeds at low temperatures followed by mechanical filtration. Stems up to 4 m high provide long thick fibers. The seeds contain 26-35% oil of brownish-yellow, greenish yellow or dark green color and a delicate lemon aroma and taste. There is no further processing (suspension, refining). Cultivation of cannabis varieties with a tetrahydrocannabiol (THC) content of less than 0,3% is allowed in the EU. Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals are also increasingly appreciated both for their fatty acid composition (gamma-linolenic acid) and for their naturally attractive appearance.
